INTERNSHIP

I am doing my second internship for Mediacollege Amsterdam with Fizzy Mag in Berlin. This is an online fashion magazine focused on girls/women and the latest fashion and sneakers. Dose is the second brand I work for. It is focused on the skateboard industry. The "office" is located right in the center (Mitte), it is a flexible workplace in a nice building. This means that we meet in this building and sit at a public desk/table. There is no permanent place. I work together with my boss Brit, Florence with who I came to Berlin and 3 other interns from Nijmegen, Croatia and Hamburg. We speak English because Fizzy Mag is an English company.

WORK

My work for both brands consists of uploading/posting articles on the website, editing photos, posting Instagram and making stories, organizing interviews and photoshoots and brainstorming new ideas. My supervisor is Brit Zupanic, she is from Berlin and is the owner of Fizzy Mag and Dose. A lot is communicated orally, not at a certain time of the day but during work. We work with writers who don't work in Berlin. Communication with them takes place via Skype. We do not have regular customers but we make articles for our own website. The photo shoots have different subjects and we work with many well-known brands such as including Crocs and Adidas.
