During my internship at Fizzy Mag / Dose I learned many things. At the beginning of my internship I prepared a PAP and behavioral aspects. I made 3 goals in my PAP and Brit also came up with one. The goals were to learn to translate concepts into the design, learn to read write, and talk better English and, dare to ask more questions and feedback. Brit's learning goal was being able to do the daily routine by myself. I'm going to go through these and find out if I got them right or not.

Translate concepts into design

I learned the goal of “Translate concepts into design” in many ways. Of course, I have done many types of assignments for Fizzy Mag as for Dose. Dose is a magazine that has been around since 2020 and that is why most things are being done for that. I learned this learning goal the most through assignments from Dose. It always starts with coming up with an idea, brainstorming with several people, and then sketching or writing out the idea. It is difficult to work out the idea, this can be difficult because the idea is hard to create or because you need people around you to help you with the elaboration. This internship I managed to complete this learning goal, because of the many assignments I have done and because I have had many tips.

Learn to read write and talk better English

The learning goal “learn to read write and talk better English” has certainly progressed. I'm not sure I can say I made it 100% sure. Because of COVID I did not the entire period of my internship in Berlin. In the period that I was in the Netherlands I learned to write more English because we did everything via Skype and were therefore only texting. I would have liked to learn even better English then I can now. I started to see through the period the errors myself and that I could adjust them myself. I also understood reading English articles better but not yet at the level I wanted.

Dare to ask more questions and feedback

In my opinion I achieved the learning goal "dare to ask more questions and feedback" during this internship. I have also used this learning goal during my first internship and that is the reason why I also used it in this internship. On my first internship I had not achieved this learning goal because I was too afraid to ask for feedback. Through the internship at Fizzy Mag / Dose I found out why and therefore did it completely different in this internship. I noticed that at my previous internship I had not the freedom to ask for feedback because they were always busy and I felt burdened when I did. Also, the feedback was almost always negative and that's why I didn't dare to ask anymore after a time. At the beginning of my internship at Fizzy Mag / Dose I was also a bit scared because I did not know how it went. The longer I did my internship I noticed that it was not the case here at all, I can always ask anything to anyone and they will always help me. It is also never negative if it is not good, they will explain why and they will say that perhaps it can be done differently. As a result, I dared to ask myself more and that gave me a very nice feeling.
